In a dangerous and illegal attempt to enter Germany, two migrants were discovered traveling as stowaways underneath a coach in the southern state of Bavaria on Sunday May 12th 2024. The incident took a dramatic turn when one of the men fell onto a highway, narrowly avoiding a serious accident.

According to police reports, a woman driving on the A99 highway in the district of Ebersberg was forced to brake abruptly when she noticed a person lying on the road. Miraculously, she managed to avoid running over the individual, later identified as one of the migrants clinging to the underside of the coach.

The coach driver, alerted by the woman’s honking, promptly stopped the vehicle near the town of Vaterstetten. It was then that the second migrant emerged from underneath the bus.

Authorities revealed that the two men were asylum seekers from Morocco, both aged 26 years old. They sustained minor injuries, likely from their precarious position near the exhaust system, as they were covered in soot and suffered abrasions.

The injured migrants were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment and further investigation. The incident has raised serious concerns about the lengths individuals are willing to go to enter Germany illegally and the potential dangers associated with such risky methods of transportation. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and exploring measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

The use of stowaways on coaches or other vehicles poses significant risks not only to the individuals involved but also to other motorists and the general public. Incidents like this highlight the need for greater awareness and stricter measures to address illegal immigration and promote safer and more regulated channels for seeking asylum.

As the investigation continues, the incident serves as a sobering reminder of the challenges faced by migrants and the importance of addressing the root causes that drive individuals to undertake such perilous journeys.
