Delhi Police’s Anti-Narcotics Squad has arrested two people and seized a large amount of heroin during a targeted operation in the South-East District. The operation, which took place in the Jangpura Extension area, was based on information received by the police. The two arrested individuals were Hamidul, an illegal Bangladeshi migrant, and Naseema, his maternal aunt. The police acted on a tip-off and managed to apprehend them.

The operation began with the arrest of Hamidul. After searching his home, the police found 75 grams of heroin. The police then continued their investigation and arrested Naseema. In total, the police seized 768.8 grams of heroin, worth around Rs 8 crores. This heroin was planned for distribution in the city. The police have registered a case at the Hazrat Nizamuddin police station, and they are continuing their investigation to find out more about the operation and whether there are other people involved.

This operation comes at a time when the police are on high alert because of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations and Delhi assembly elections. The government has told the police to stay vigilant to prevent organized crime and ensure the safety of the public. The police are focusing on stopping drug trafficking and other crimes to make sure that everything runs smoothly during these important events.

The arrest of Hamidul, an illegal migrant, highlights a growing concern about the role of undocumented migrants in criminal activities, including drug trafficking. Since Hamidul was living in India without legal permission, it is possible that his status made him more vulnerable to being involved in illegal activities. Law enforcement agencies are aware of how criminal groups sometimes exploit migrants in this way.

The seizure of 768 grams of heroin is a big win for the police. This heroin was likely going to be sold in various parts of Delhi, so the operation has stopped a significant amount of illegal drugs from entering the market. The police’s work in this operation sends a strong message to criminals that law enforcement is actively working to stop illegal activities.

The operation is part of the Delhi Police’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and organized crime. The police regularly carry out raids and other operations to target drug smugglers and criminals involved in the illegal drug trade. By making these arrests and seizing the drugs, the police have prevented a large quantity of heroin from being distributed in the city.

The police are also working with other law enforcement agencies to tackle drug trafficking that crosses borders. They are focused on breaking up the supply chains that bring illegal drugs into Delhi. This operation shows that the police are making progress in their fight against drug trafficking, which is an important issue for public safety.

The arrest of Hamidul and Naseema, along with the seizure of heroin worth Rs 8 crores, is a significant achievement for the Delhi Police. The operation is part of their continued efforts to reduce crime and keep the city safe, especially with the upcoming public events. The police are committed to stopping drug trafficking and organized crime, ensuring that these illegal activities do not harm the public.
