The Council of Europe has introduced a new online platform that highlights its work on migration and refugee issues. The page was launched by the Division on Migration and Refugees (DMR) on June 4, 2025, and is now available to the public.

This newly launched web page brings together all the major activities, programs, and news related to the Council of Europe’s work in the field of migration and asylum. It is designed to make access to this information easier for people who work on or are interested in these topics.

The page covers a wide range of the Council’s efforts, including intergovernmental cooperation, action plans, country-specific visits, and themed projects. It aims to give users a full picture of how the Council of Europe is supporting its member states in facing the challenges of migration.

According to the Division on Migration and Refugees, the goal is to provide a single place where all related updates and materials can be found. This should be helpful for researchers, diplomats, policymakers, NGOs, and others working in the migration and asylum field.

The Council of Europe has long been involved in promoting human rights and legal standards in Europe, and migration remains a key issue among its 46 member states. With increasing movement of people due to war, climate change, and economic hardship, the need for coordinated responses has grown.

The new page reflects a commitment to transparency and communication. It will be updated regularly to ensure users have access to the latest information and developments regarding migration and refugee support activities.

The DMR hopes the page becomes a go-to resource for everyone looking to understand or support migration and refugee work in Europe. By making the information more accessible, the Council aims to strengthen cooperation among governments, institutions, and civil society.

To explore the new section, visitors can now visit the Council of Europe Work on Migration and Refugees page, which serves as a central hub for updates, best practices, and collaborative efforts across Europe.
